Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors wishing to submit manuscripts to Shareholding are invited to prepare their contributions in accordance with the following general guidelines. The journal welcomes original scholarly works that make a clear and meaningful contribution to the relevant field of research. Submissions may include original research articles, review articles, theoretical or conceptual studies, and other scholarly contributions that are consistent with the aims and scope of the journal. Manuscripts should present significant, well-defined research questions or objectives and should demonstrate appropriate academic depth, methodological rigor, and engagement with relevant literature.

Manuscripts should be original and should not be under consideration for publication in another journal at the time of submission. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are accurate, properly documented, and prepared according to accepted standards of academic integrity. Where a manuscript has more than one author, all listed authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the research and preparation of the manuscript, and all authors should approve the final version submitted for consideration.

Manuscripts should be written in clear, coherent, and grammatically correct language. Authors should provide a concise and informative title, an abstract summarizing the purpose, methodology, principal findings, and conclusions of the study, and a suitable set of keywords to facilitate indexing and discoverability. The main text should be logically organized, with appropriate sections such as introduction, literature review or theoretical background, methodology, results or analysis, discussion, conclusion, and references, where applicable to the nature of the submission.

The manuscript should clearly explain the research problem, objectives, and significance of the study. Research methods and procedures should be described with sufficient detail to allow readers to understand and evaluate the research process. Data, analytical procedures, tables, figures, and other supporting materials should be presented accurately and clearly. Tables and figures should be appropriately numbered, titled, and referred to within the text. Authors should ensure that all statistical analyses, interpretations, and conclusions are supported by the evidence presented.

All sources consulted or cited in the manuscript should be properly acknowledged through a consistent scholarly referencing style. References cited in the text should correspond to the reference list, and authors should carefully verify the accuracy and completeness of bibliographic information. Direct quotations, paraphrased material, data, concepts, and other contributions originating from other sources must be appropriately cited. Authors should also ensure that the manuscript does not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct.

Where research involves human participants, personal data, confidential information, or other ethical considerations, authors should comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Appropriate information concerning ethical approval, informed consent, confidentiality, or other relevant safeguards should be included where applicable. Authors should disclose any relevant conflicts of interest that could influence the research, interpretation of findings, or presentation of the manuscript.

Authors should carefully proofread their manuscripts before submission and ensure that the final document is complete and professionally prepared. Any supplementary files, datasets, appendices, or other materials necessary for the evaluation of the manuscript should be provided where appropriate. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to editorial or peer-review comments. Revised submissions should address reviewers' comments carefully and should clearly indicate the changes made or provide an appropriate response to substantive comments.

All manuscripts are subject to editorial assessment and an appropriate peer-review process. Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee publication. The editorial team reserves the right to assess submissions for relevance, quality, originality, academic standards, and compliance with the journal's requirements before or during peer review. Final decisions concerning publication are made by the journal in accordance with its editorial and peer-review procedures.

Authors should use the journal's designated submission procedure and provide complete and accurate contact and affiliation information. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the information provided is accurate and that the submission complies with the journal's ethical and editorial requirements. The editorial team may request clarification or additional documentation whenever necessary to ensure the integrity and quality of the publication process.
